Frequently Asked Questions

The PTA exists to identify the needs of all students, the school, its families, and the community. Together we find ways to help provide each student with the best teachers, tools, and resources to meet those needs and unlock success in every child.
Join for your child! It’s all about them – and enriching their experience at Dahlia. The school can only do so much with the funds it has, so we supplement, enhance, and advocate where necessary.

Join for yourself! We have an inclusive, diverse, and fun parent community. It’s a great way to get to know people and become a part of the Dahlia family.
Money is always good – Donate! There are also so many creative opportunities that our busy, working parents have found to support the school and participate in the PTA and school events. You may not be able to do it all, but you can do something. Reach out to us – we know we’ll be able to find a way you can get involved!

Visit Support PTA – Volunteer to sign up. We also need people to assist the Room Parents. If you are unable to be a Room Parent, we hope you will consider assisting. It’s a great way to get to know other parents and students in your child’s class!

PTA meetings aren’t mandatory. Of course, we hope you can join us and participate at the meetings, especially to vote on important decisions when it’s called for. Meeting minutes will be posted online, and the minutes are approved at the start of subsequent meetings. If you miss a meeting you can always catch up on the minutes to review what was covered.

Sign up for the PTA Newsletter at the bottom of this page. We also have a social media presence on Facebook.
Our website also offers the Dove Hub. The Dove Hub is Dahlia’s first online community, an exciting new way to get connected and interact with other Dahlia parents. You can ask questions, share information, or start a conversation about any topic you want.
