Our PTA is a volunteer organization made up of parents, family members, teachers, and staff from the school community who want to make a positive impact in the lives of students. There are many ways to get involved, from joining a planning committee to signing up to help at an event. Get involved in any way that works for you.

Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Help brainstorm and implement ideas. Great for creative minds!

Banners
Work with the local business community to secure long-term donation commitments. Businesses receive a banner featuring business name and logo on Colorado Blvd. or Floristan Ave.

Book Fair
We need help to make this Spring event a success! Volunteer to plan, promote, set up, or work a shift at checkout.

Career Day
Volunteers can participate in Career Day by being a speaker or by helping us organize the event.

Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion is the work of everyone! Come share your ideas and learn more. We are dedicated to celebrating, promoting and supporting our diverse Dahlia community. Let's work together to effectively hear from and serve all families.

Dine Out
Solicit partnerships with local businesses for Dine Out / Shop Out opportunities. A portion of the receipts generated from our families are donated to the school.

Family Game Night
Organize this fun family event. Families bring their favorite games to play with the Dahlia community. It's a great way to socialize and get to know other families!

Garden
Collaborate with other volunteers on garden installation, maintenance, and education activities for students.

Organize the first school community event of the year!

Prospective Parent Tour
Lead a school tour in and share your love of Dahlia Heights with prospective families.

Read-a-Thon
Help plan, promote, and execute the Read-a-thon fundraiser, typically an early March event.

Organize student submissions to the Reflections Art Program. The theme for 2023-2024 is "I am hopeful because..."

Silent Auction
Show appreciation for our dedicated Dahlia Heights teachers and staff. We need help with fundraising, food, hosting, and clean up for this event.

Organize or serve on a committee to plan, promote and execute the Reflections art.

Passionate about helping our planet? Have ideas to help improve our school's social responsibility? Join the Sustainability Committee!

Valet
Can you open a car door with a smile on your face? Congratulations! You qualify to be a morning valet for our school. You even get to wear a stylish orange vest! Sign up for a weekly shift, or to be an alternate. Shifts are Monday - Friday, from 7:40am - 8:10am.

Yearbook
Photographers and page designers needed. Our yearbook program, TreeRing, is very user-friendly. No formal graphic design experience is required.
